What can I find at digital.adk.de?
The selected collections provide an insight into the extensive range of collections held in the archives. As an interdisciplinary archives of Modern Art, it preserves living and posthumous bequests from outstanding artists in the German-speaking area as well as collections and works of art from all branches of the arts from the period after 1900. Analogous to the Members’ Sections of the Akademie der Künste, the archival holdings are organised into the archive departments of Visual Arts, Architecture, Music, Literature, Performing Arts, Film and Media. The holdings in the art collection, the historical archive with its administrative records and the library, which serves all departments, date back to the Prussian Academy of Arts. Special archival holdings from all of the Sections have been selected, digitised and compiled for both academic research and anyone interested to browsing through it.
